Swala Sanctuary Retreat, Tarangire National Park
This Christmas, we’re steering away from garish red and gold palettes and gaudy smiling Santas (don’t get us wrong, these are fun too) and trying something a little different in the bush. We’ve looked at inspiration from all over the world, and it’s wonderful to see how many foreign style elements work so well in an African setting.
This canoe and walking adventure will take you to some of the most remote wilderness areas, lagoons and islands of the Selinda Spillway in Botswana, that cannot be accessed by any other means.
The first rains have arrived, the bush is thick and green and we’re witnessing all the new life that appears at this time of year, it’s Christmas time! In celebration of all things Christmassy, we teamed up with Shara Barrell from Shara B Photography to create a Christmas shoot in the bush.
Father’s Day is here and we’re getting ready to celebrate the makers of dad jokes and bush braais. Here are five gifts your dad will love, almost as much as he loves his family and hopefully as much as he loves his golf clubs.
Francesca Marciano“Why is it you can never hope to describe the emotion Africa creates? You are lifted. Out of whatever pit, unbound from whatever tie, released from whatever fear. You are lifted and you see it all from above.”
Jane Goodall“It was wildest, untouched Africa, and it was magic.”
Henry David Thoreau“All good things are wild and free.”
