Around the globe, park rangers are on the frontline in the ongoing fight to protect our natural heritage. World Ranger Day offers a chance to pay tribute to their vital work; to give a heartfelt salute to rangers who continue to put themselves in danger for critical causes.

The elephants that came to dinner

Built over an ancient elephant path, Mfuwe Lodge is renowned for its bountiful mango tree. Every spring, when the fruits ripen, an entire elephant herd lumbers through the lodge reception to gorge themselves on the feast beyond.
